Dr. Rongjing Ding, Post Doctorate, deputy head of Cardiology at Peking University People’s Hospital, visiting scholar of Division of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic, the first Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional in China.

Professional Affiliations: vice chairman of Cardiovascular Committee of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, vice chairman of Chinese Heart federation for cardiovascular diseases prevention and rehabilitation, deputy leader of Epidemiology Group of Chinese Society of Cardiology, deputy leader of Psycho-cardiology Group of CMA Psychosomatic Medicine Division, Member of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Young Adult Division, Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of Cardiology, Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine, Chinese Mental Health Journal, Journal of Chronic Diseases and Sichuan Journal of Mental Health. Dr. Ding is mainly engaged in Cardiovascular prevention, individual rehabilitation, Psycho-cardiological disease, myocardial preservation as well as basic and clinical studies on atherosclerosis.

She published about 50 research papers on national core journals and about 20 in SCI, and co-edited and co-translated over 10 books. She is the chief editor and translator of 5 books. She hosted and participated in 5 programs, including Twelfth Five Year” National Science and Technology Support Program, Natural Science Foundation of China and other programs assigned by Science and Technology Commission and Ministry of Education. She was also awarded the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award.

Dr. Ding was the leading contributor of many expert consensus and guidelines in cardiovascular field, including Chinese Expert Consensus on Psychological Treatment of Patients with Cardiovascular Diseases, Chinese Expert Consensus on Cardiac Rehabilitation/Secondary Prevention for Coronary Artery Disease, and The Expert Consensus on Medication Management in Patients with Stable Coronary Heart Disease Undergoing Cardiac Rehabilitation.

She has made great contributions to the development of cardiac rehabilitation and Psycho-Cardiology in China by organizing training courses at the national and regional-level conference, translating and writing training materials of Psycho-Cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. Her research work in the field of Psycho-Cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation has been highly evaluated by peers at home and abroad and she often conducts academic exchanges in international medical conferences. She is leading the academic development of Psycho-Cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation in China.
